Residensea is the only cruise liner which continuously cruises: The World Cruise Ship its been called. The World Cruise Ship consists of 165 privately owned apartments: though you can rent an apartment rather than buy - Residensea an interesting concept.

From a tax planning point of view there are some interesting implications for having a residence at sea: lets face it my credit card company has problems with me moving states so I am not sure how it would deal with a ship board address! Residensea probably provides a post restante address as part of the deal: I doubt the apartments come cheap. You can get a studio but most apartments appear to be 2bed 2 bath deals. I hope they get serviced daily :why would you want 2 baths: its like visitors are just going to drop by - now that’s a cool reason to live at see to - great avoiding the neighbours!

The World Ships itinerary is a little disappointing though: they appear to loop around the caribbean: accross the Atlantic to the Mediterranean and then thru Suez to the Gulf and India before circum-navigating Africa. Id like to see Residencia make it to Asia or Australia: but I guess the whole point is not to spend too much time on land
