Reports are that Tiger Woods bench presses around 300lb Who would have thought that the famous golfer Tiger Woods could bench press so much?
Apparently Tiger Woods has been weight training for years - I had never thought of weight training for golfing - but cross-training in sports is all the rage isnt it? Why not cross training works whether you are an elite athlete like Tiger Woods or just an ordinary Joe.
Recently I’ve been looking into the cross training options for ballroom dancing: Tai Chi is one that is less obvious - great for balance and isolation training. Skipping too is often used for ballroom dancing: just as with boxers being light on your feet and coordinated helps; not to mention the aerobic stamina training.

Golf does require a good bit of upper body strength. It is good to see Tiger Woods is making an effort to stay at the top of his golf game.

You would think that a golf pro who gives lessons at a local country club would suggest supplemental weight training. If the country club had a weight room this could bring in extra income for the golf country club. Since Tiger Woods is using bench press to improve his golf game this would make a lot of sense.
