Which top fuel efficient cars to buy is the question. As oil prices keep on going on American car makers are finallly waking up to something that the rest of the world discovered back in the 1970’s with the first oil crises. Now however that the largest economy is feeling the pain maybe
the rest of us will start to see more innovative vehicles because lets face it a lot of American cars haven’t fundamentally changed in over 50 years. So what are the best options for fuel efficient cars: to me the most sensible thing is to really stop using the car everytime you need to drive around the block. In the end the solution to rising gas prices is much more fundamental :why are fuel efficient cars so desperately important to Americans?
The reason is that Americans aren’t really ready to deal with the options that places have like Europe dealt with 3 decades ago: walking, scooters motor bikes, Minis, Smart Cars the options are endless but it requires a mind set change

Smart Twofor Car Crash on 2 June, 2008 at 7:03 pm #

Smart Twofor is a death trap or at least begging for serious injury in even a minor accident. Even the insurance guy in a video tells the audience after praising the Twofor’s performance in the crash that in a real world accident the occupant would be in bad shape.

That’s not to mention that it is way overpriced for what it is.
