Actually it does matter. If he was not born in the US, he is not eligible to be President. A few months back there was a semi-debate over whether McCain, who was born on a US Military base oversees, was eligible. If Obama was born in Kenya, or anywhere else not in the US, he would not be eligible to run for office.

It really is a big deal.

The US Constitution requires a person who is elected President, like Barrack Obama wants to be, to be a natural born citizen of the United States. Barrack Obama is a natural born citizen of the United States because his mother, Ann Dunham, is a natural born US citizen. He did, however, spend many years outside of the United States as a child and his father, Barrack Obama Sr., was not a natural born citizen of the United States. In order to be on the Presidential ballot in some states they may require that his campaign produce a copy of his birth certificate or other documents that certify Barrack Obama’s US citizenship. I suppose there are some who would use this bureaucratic mess caused by the state of Hawaii against Obama but it is stupid of them to do so.

I recall a federal law requiring my birth certificate for Army service. If he says no, then not only is he barred, but also prosecute him for conspiracy to commit fraud.

Here is another thing no one seems to realize: Barack Hussein Muhammad Obama (his full name) is NOT BLACK ! He only has 6% Black in him - he is mostly Arab on his father’s side ! HIs fahter’s birth certificate lists him as born in Africa but Nationality is ARAB ! So Obama is ARAB-American, not ‘black’ American. He is hiding this fact so he can get the Black vote here and pass for black. There are so many secrets being kept for Obama, he makes Mr Secret King George look mild in all his secrets ! Secrets for sane people are suppose to raise a red flag of warning !

Here it is….Either he was or wasn’t born in the US. If he wasn’t then he should not be running for President. Why do Americans all of a sudden feel like we owe so much to everybody that we feel bad when we should hold up our own laws to protect this country and for a simple act of patriotism. Well I never heard of a civilised country that distinguished between a “natural born citizen” and any other type - particularly one like the US which is built on immigration LOL. I think in the 3 countries i have citizenship in I am eligible for political office as I am a citizen!

Lissie, didja go to school in this country? Perhaps not. If you did then you might have learned in High school that although the US constitution does allow some political offices to be held by “Naturalized Citizens” not born on US soil or its territories, the highest offices do stipulate that one MUST be born in one of the US states (of which there are only 50) or one of its soverign territories. It is a BIG DEAL!

Well it is my understanding that the birth record he has posted is fake. I would like for the real birth certificate be produced. We the American people should stand up and say NOW. It appears his grandmother said he was born in Kenya, and the birth record he has posted shows his father as African. Well back in 1961, his birth year, his father would have been listed as Negro not African. But then again a birth record that was copied from a Kenya birth record would have shown his father as African. There are just tooooo many facts that are missing on this man and the facts that we do know he and the media dismisses. It’s great that a man of any color can come as far as Obama has but not through the corruption he came through. The folks he climbed with. I’d like to hear from Rezko who says he’ll tell all but he is being hushed until after the elections. Why can’t we the American people just know the truth and why does this man get a pass on the questions that deserve answers. There’s more to this story and it’s being hushed; that only makes for more suspicion when that facts could end it all.

The United States is a Republic, governed by the rule of law, our Constitution! Citizenship is important, so is the 1948 Naturalizion Law adopted into International Law. Adoption in Indonesia also is a factor, therefore a legitimate question of eligibility. Congress declares War; American’s are sent to fight and die in those Wars and now a question whether Senator Barack Obama should obey the Constitution of the United States, or prove his citizenship? Give me one reason for non-compliance or doubt rather than complete cooperation?

Great blog Lissie- thanks for the heads up on this. I really started paying more attention to this after lawsuits were filed- but my own honest opinion? I think the controversy has become why Obama refuses to release his birth certificate. Is there something wrong with his qualifications or is there something wrong with his character that makes him arrogantly refuse to settle a legitimate question? Either possibility is troubling.
