Point Montara Lighthouse: give it back says Cape Cod! Excuse me you have our lighthouse! The Wellfleet Harbor, Cape Code lighthouse was believed removed and destroyed in 1925’s but recently has turned up again: in California. A lighthouse enthusiast has found the paperwork that indicates the lighthouse was moved to Point Monara: San Francisco! Now owned by California State Parks the historic Point Montara LIghthouse is only about 25 miles south of San Francisco on a spectacular piece of coast.
